Actually I myself was more like a tourist looking around at all sorts of things..

After several extra bonus of sunny days in autumn, it rained today~

The sky wasn't as blue... The clouds look dirty....

(classic-- always don't want to get up when the alarm rings~~)

This morning Princess J went to Surrey Hills with G to deliver his work for "Canterbury Art Exhibition".

看看天氣不錯

I love riding my bike!(2) 我的愛騎妙用多

My lovely bike is actually my 2009 X'mas gift that G bought me!

(He's being so considerate-- He wants me to ride my bike regularly as an exercise so that may, in a way, to some degree, be able to make my bum not stay so flat....  Ahh~~ how sweet G is  T_T)

<my version of interpretation of this is-- G thinks my bum is REALLY flat!>

Anyway, my bike may not serve me that well with G's expectation yet it offers me great convenience!

I ride it to go shopping so that I don't have to carry the bloody heavy goods by hands and walk...

Confession: I haven't been going for a walk everyday.....
Yet Princess J's got excuses~~~

* Excuse 1- the weather hasn't been nice enough~  (was there a storm or something drama like that in Melbourne recently? I think that was in South Australia...)

* Excuse 2- I haven't been sleeping well enough~ (isn't that normal? As if Princess J'd usually sleep well.... That's G, not J!)

* Excuse 3- I've got things need to be done, didn't have enough time~ (there are always things need to be done-- it's the concept of time management!)

Yes, cooking is nothing big deal for Princess J!

After being a "wife" for 69 days, JM's become more and more fluent during the whole cooking process.

Practice makes Perfect~

Surely my cooking ability has bloody improved heaps since living down under.

Last time Princess J accidently made some very delicious 'soup' with the reagrd that it was supposed to be 'stew'. Therefore making stew successfully was still the aim to go...

It was warm and sunny on the day G + J went shopping at Camberwell sunday market!
話說那個賺到的星期天,是個晴朗的好天氣呢!

And yes, we did spend some $$ buying some "real shit"~~~

Nothing exciting lah~

Well, as you know, there was a B-boy swapping activity at Rose Street Artists' Market yesterday, so all the stallholders had to pack up and take their stuff home (suggested not to leave things there because no one will take the responsibility if they are stolen...).

Yep, I agree with you!

That was a bit of "pain in the arse"~

Lucky we've got our little car fixed and served us smoothly with the load of 5 big suitcases + some other more stuff.  * . *

HaHa, got a day off from Rose Street Artists' Market today~~

Because there was another different theme activity (something about bikes + sneakers B-boy swapping...), no market for stallholders this Sunday...

SO, G and I had got our shit together this morning after last night's fun, interesting gathering +drinking (mainly G, tea and soft drink for Princess J, as u know~) with few friends in our lovely back yard.

mm, back to shit, I mean, this morning.

After I'd got rid of some "crap" (you know, pooing.... that's right, even the princess does POO!!!), we headed off to Camberwell sunday market for trash and treasure!
Thanks hecks, G didn't ask me to read the map and to be the navigator to help us get there (he loves doing this just to stir me up >.<). Ahh~ such a good start! We must have a great day (with hope in mind  *.*).

Soon enough we arrived there and found a park (without getting lost on the way there, Hooray!!). After saying hello to our friend whose spot is right next to the entrance, the first thing for G was to buy "DONUTS">>>

See, G's so outstanding amongst those LITTLE KIDS!!

Then we started our hunting---

There are a lot of stands selling all sorts of shit, oops, I mean GOODS~~

This market is always one of the main sources of the materials for G's culinary jewellery.

Fisrt, let's say hi to one of G's main sources -stallholder John.  :)

Next move for the plan was G and Princess J split~

G'd gone for his sources, Princess J'd wondered around~~~

So J'd taken some interesting photos to share---

Some of the goods sold there are interesting, some are amusing, some are intriguing, some are practical, some are workable (if you know how...), and of course, some are just boring~~~

嘻嘻~ 賺到一天假!

因為Rose Street Artists' Market 玫瑰街藝術家市集今天有特別的活動,所以大家放假一天 :)

於是Greg和我不囉唆,不賴床,即使經過昨晚和幾位朋友在我們可愛後院(上有附圖佐證)有趣好笑的小吃小喝<喝是G啦,整晚我只喝茶~>聚會之後,

仍舊起了個早,準備整裝逛 Camberwell Sunday Market挖寶去.

迅速地解放"嗯嗯"之後, (公主也是人,又不是不食人間煙火,當然也會拉屎~~~)

著裝完畢,上車出發!!

此時內心暗想-- G會不會又來叫我看地圖當導盲犬<呃,是導航者>那招??

他最愛來這齣,然後看我在那邊窮緊張!!

呼~ 幸好今天他沒搞這齣

這可是個好開始ㄋㄟ~

<內心充滿希望>期待這將是美好的一天..  嗯!!

在沒有迷路也沒多繞路的情況下,

不久就到了 Camberwell sunday market.

先在入口和我們朋友Kstn打招呼後,

Greg第一件要做的是就是_______________

買 DONUTS 甜甜炸麵糰

(因為他不是我們台灣印象中的甜甜圈-- 中間沒有洞, 但裡面有類似果醬的甜餡)

有圖証明~ 看看G在一群小朋友間,顯得多出眾啊!

有吃有體力,挖寶開始嚕~
先到John的攤位打個招呼,畢竟他是Greg Mann Jewellery 的貨源主供應商之一
(講得好像什麼怪怪交易似的.. 沒有啦! 就他有粉多紀念湯匙,刀叉之類的)

下一部計畫就是______
各走各的,哼!沒在怕的啦~

G去找貨買貨, 公主我則負責走馬看花,隨手拍拍~~~
以上分享的,就是一些公主個人覺得有趣的咚咚  :)

有些東西很有趣,有的很搞笑,有的很引人深究,
有的是很實用,有的則是可使用(當然要看你會不會用),
而有些,我只能說真的很無趣~~
幸運的話就找到寶,
沒找著的話就算你踩到屎囉(但也不壞啦,不都說踩到之後會出運嗎?)
畢竟別人視為珍寶的,在你眼裡可能只是一堆屎,
而別人(眼中)的屎,卻可能被你當作寶??

PekoPeko 鹽酥雞我來了!

Wasn't fooled by anyone, or anythings yesterday...

I wonder how this April Fool's Day started~~??

Anyway, the activity for April Fool's was to dine out at a Taiwanese restaurant--

*PekoPeko - modern Asian cafe / restaurant*

This tracked back to once that Princess J was talking about "deep-fried food in TW" with her Taiwanese friend M when she and her hubby visited at Rose St Market...

Therefore the follow-up action was to solve Princess J's craving for "taste-like-home" food~

So we made a date to dine at PekoPeko on April 1st!

(not that we thought about celebrating April fools.. just Thursday was chosen as for our dinner..)

I had to say that we were lucky because M booked a table~~ (thanks for being considerate, M)

Otherwise we'd have to queue in the door till a table was free...

After sitting down, Princess J was just very excited about getting the food..

(that's why no photos were taken last night, I was totally lost in the food  *.*)

We ordered several dishes to share--

(not that it was too much for four of us, yet our little table was full with food!)

--  Pop chicken with rice (鹽酥雞飯)

     Soup Formosa (肉羹湯) and with Rice as well (肉羹飯)

     Taiwanese sausage (臺灣香腸)

     Beef About (牛肉麵)

     Crispy Mango Prawn Won-tons (炸芒果蝦餛飩)

And of course, Greg ordered a bottle of TAIWAN BEER!!!

After the first sip of the beer, he even said-- "Ahh, it takes me home~~"

As if!!  @_@   The sentences  /terms he'd known in Chinese in total would be fewer than 10...

not even mention about Taiwanese- the only one term he uses well is "Ka-tzeng" (which means bums~~)!

Because I was so eager to eat, (plus there were a lot of people in the restaurant..), I didn't take any pictures this time, the photos above I copied from others'. 

(sorry la~ promise I'll definately do it when going there next time)

While we were still working on the main courses, my mind had gone to the dessert already~~

As a princess, I was very generous to give the rest of the food to Greg...

(The truth was that I wanted to save some space for the dessert, heyhey~~)

Black Rice Pudding and Green Tea flavoured+ Blcak Sesame flavoured (have you ever had this kind?) Ice Cream served us as desserts.

They both were nice!  :)

Very full after the desserts~ though we all think that it would be perfect if they had "real good" "Pearl Tea" on offer~~~ (you know, that's the most well-known drink from Taiwan!)

So it was a good day for Princess J being down under, haha~

很好,愚人節沒被任何人.事愚弄到.

好奇當初是怎會有這日子的由來??

昨天和朋友去吃了一家臺灣人開的餐廳.

叫做--- PekoPeko ----

起因於上次朋友M和她老公去Rose St Market那一次,
聊天時我說我好想念鹽酥雞,

於是為了解決公主對故鄉食物的懷想(有看到我口水要滴下來了嗎?)

就有了昨天的晚餐約會.

話說這家叫 PekoPeko- Modern Asian Cafe / Restaurant 的,

生意真不是普通的好~

要不是朋友M有先訂桌,

恐怕得排隊等上一陣子,才有位置坐下來點餐~~ 感謝M的貼心 :)

我們四個人點了好幾樣~

(其實不算多,但小小一個方桌都被塞滿了食物!!)

有-- 鹽酥雞飯.肉羹湯,臺灣香腸,芒果蝦餛飩,牛肉麵,肉羹飯.

當然Greg一坐下就先要了 TAIWAN BEER!

喝了第一口之後,

他還說: "Ahh~ it takes me HOME~"  <呃,有家的感覺~>

(最好是這樣啦~ 中文總共加起來會不到幾句,

台語最溜的也就那麼一個"咖撐"....)

急著點餐急著吃!

主餐還沒吃完,

已經盤算著甜點了~

把吃不完的都推給Greg之後,

就迫不及待的叫了

黑糯米糕+綠茶口味冰淇淋 和 黑芝麻口味冰淇淋~~

吃完之後就真的飽了~

我們一致覺得可惜的是--

他們沒賣珍珠奶茶 之類的飲料~

要有然後又好喝的話就大完美了!!

總結: 公主南下(合"蕃"? ------  <指的是___ G??>  ) 的第一個愚人節

           Safe-  快樂地在大口大吃之晚餐中度過 :)

p.s. then I remembered that we were actually fooled by a Tram 16 driver--

As usual, he announced: "next stop- Art Centre! and it's also the last stop!!" while we just got on the tram from Flinder St station..

Greg and I looked at each other.. "I didn't know it was gonna be like this," I showed a face like that to G, didn't want to take the responsibility of being late for dinner...

Then when he stopped at the Art Centre, really, I was about to step out to catch the next whatever tram, in order to get to the destination...

Suddenly he said, "was just joking, it's not the last stop. Happy April Fool's Day!".

Gee! But I had to say it was a good one!!  :)

Going for a walk 走走路去

While the sun was still up in the sky, I put on my sneakers to go for a walk.

Idealistically I shall go for a walk everyday for at least 15 minutes, then it somehow can be counted as exercising... *.*  (I know I know, 15 mins is nothing>>> to real exercisers~~  but I'm not...)

Usually I (+G sometimes) go for a walk around our area, never really go too far... (the only one time was going over to the other side of the Royal Park Golf Course)

So often that G hassles me to go for a walk when I feel tired or when I feel lazy.....

At first I just wanted to say NO to him, yet most of the times I did what he said...

Then after I did it, I appreciated him for pushing out for a walk!

The trip usually surprises me!!

Sometimes it's because of the blossoming colourful flowers;

sometimes it's because of the interesting buildings;

sometimes it's because of the frinedlyness people show on their faces;

Sometimes it can be a big surprise because of what we find on the streets!!

Especailly G's into picking things out from whatever rubbish that people throw out on the streets~~

It can be a piece of wood, a pot, a matress, a chair.....

Once we dragged a wooden table home (its condition looks perfectly fine, nowhere broken at all!).

It serves me well-- with some of my make-up stuff, lotions and some girly sort of thingys dwell in it....

MM, it's good to go for a walk!!  Keep it up, Princess J!  :) 

趁著太陽跑出來露臉

趕緊著裝出門走路去~~

(理論上應該是要天天去走路的

至少也要走上15分鐘

才算是有運動到...)

範圍不遠,就在家附近晃晃~~

常常我總是被Greg逼著出去走路

但每次晃完之後都心存感激!

因為路上的景物常常讓我感動或驚奇>>>>

有時是因為各色各樣盛開的花朵~

有時是因為各有千秋的建築物~

有時是因為路上擦身而過友善的人們~

有時是因為眼中充滿驚奇的可愛小孩~

更有些時候

是因為撿破爛挖到寶!!! (Greg最愛尋寶~~)

這裡的人常常會把家裡不要的東西放到門口屋外
讓有需要的人撿去用

所以可能昨天看到沙發

今天看到床墊

而明天也許茶几就出現了

之前就撿了一個還非常完好堅固的小木桌>>>

現在安置在床邊成為我的瓶瓶罐罐安身立命之區呢~

嗯!! 走走路是有益身心的 :)   公主  加油呀!!! 

Thread Den @ Fitzroy Opening

March 25th, Thursday, Greg and I went to the opening of Thread Den @ Fitzroy.

The first Thread Den is located in North Melbourne and now this second one just opened in Fitzroy.

We were planning to pick up our car from the Car Service and drive there for the opening....

However, you know, as I said before>>>>

Accidents always destroy your plans no matter how perfect the plan is!!!

Yep! Right after just paid for the fixing of the car, it stalled on the road again and agian!!!

That was just too terrible.  @_@

So G drove it home SAFELY!! (Luckily we didn't get hit by other cars while our car stalled right in the middle of the roads...)

We had dinner at home then headed off to catch the tram.

After Tram 19 and Tram 112, we were there.

The store is right next to IGA supermarket, good spot, I think.

There were already people in and outside the store. Two people were playing live music in the venue. People were having white wine (that was the only drink offered that night~~  oh, and a jar of water...).

I had a look around the store in the ground floor and also went upstairs to the sewing lounge.

I don't know if that was because of this opening night, the way of setting up in the store is like what yo see in the picture~~

I wonder if they'd change it after this event...?

So G and I were looking for his Aluminium Jewellery (cz we both wanted to know how they look in the store...).

Finally we saw them in the bottom in a cabinet~~ ~
mmm, to be honest, it was a bit dark and not clear enough to be placed there....  (maybe it was at night... so it might look better during the day..?)

 

In the store, I saw some skirts (which made me feel like that as a princess, I should have one, at least~~~).

Not sure how to spell it-- "tutu" maybe?

If anyone knows the right spelling of this style of skirts,

please do tell me the answer! Thanks  ^^

Wedding Day 婚禮那一天

Jan 28th, 2010, Greg and I had a great time!!

The ceremony was simple and warm, though I was hell nervous for quite a while before the real moment was coming... It all went good! I didn't fall because of my high heels (actually they are not very high at all, but to someone like me who hardly wear high heels, you know..). I did the make-up myself (with only a week of practice) and the hair, all turned out looking good. So glad that Z and K were here with us! K walked me to the groom and Z is my witness of our marriage!! How cool!

The party in the evening was the real excitement! Most of the friends we invited showed up and had fun at the party, and all of Greg's family were there with us! The whole evening G and I were just busy talking to people and laughing happily~

It was such a specail and great day that it'll shine in my memory forever!!

2010年一月28號,Greg和我度過快樂的一天.

婚禮簡單而溫馨, 雖然在那之前我其實莫名地緊張了好幾天--

但還好當天一切進行順利,沒發生我想像中因穿上高跟鞋不會走路而跌個狗吃屎這種事...

連化妝和頭髮都是DIY喲!!

經過約莫一個星期的密集練習,臉上的形形色色算是登陸成功,可以見人.

最高興的是,Z+K千里迢迢的從故鄉臺灣飛來參加我們的婚禮!!

兩人都是重要角色-

K要帶我走進証婚室!!

Z是我們結婚的簽名目擊證人之一!!

黃昏開始的Party更是將這重要的一天帶入高潮--

大部分我們寄出喜帖邀請的朋友,都從四面八方現身

而且Greg的媽媽及所有兄妹都到齊了

太令人喜悅!

整晚Greg和我都忙進忙出和不同的朋友打招呼講話,嘻嘻笑個不停~~

百分百是個特別而深刻的一天

這天的情景將會永遠在我的記憶中閃耀!!!
