Dragon Boat Festival 端午節

It is Dragon Boat Festival today (lunar calendar)!
No dragons nor boats for Princess J.....
All I want is to eat HOMEMADE rice dumplings!!!!
My grandma used to make rice dumplings for Dragon Boat festival. In my memory it was the most delicious and the most unique ones I've ever had! Not any single homemade ones or even any well-known brands' ones would have mung beans with the rice (at least I've not had one...). Plus all the ingredients to go with rice that Grandma fried with her own mixed sauce and spices~~ That made all the difference!

Pity I was not keen to learn to make rice dumplings while Grandma was still around~ (At that time all I could think about was to EAT EAT EAT, not to make......)
Some of Grandma's own dishes I'd tried to reproduce and the flavour has been quite close, yet some of the more complex food such as rice dumplings I haven't be able to make it....

I guess it is the taste of HOME which I crave for while cooking food with Grandma's flavour~~ (and the miss of Grandma~)

Rice dumplings (this is the version I found through others pohots which I think looks similar to what I used to have...)
