July 1st 2010, Thursday, sunny
So after playing a bit with the alpacas, we then headed to Healesville Sanctuary. As we arrived, there was a show - Birds of Prey, about to start. So we did that first, then moved on to other animals.
I was trying to take photos of a Tasmanian Devil that ran around and around in his territory, but didn't succeed. It was running to fast as if it was going crazy. (I'd be crazy if I were it, being kept in a small area like that....)
In there we saw some kangaroos and wallabies. The way they move themselves is interesting. They actually use their huge tails to help move the whole body. It's hard to imagine how fast when they hop when seeing them moving slowly...
Also we were lucky to see an Echidna, an active one, I mean, it was moving, though slowly as well...
Better than the wombat we saw there, it was sleeping....
(Echidna
Emus are one of the animals that I think they are usually angry. Just the facial expression of theirs, especially the poped- out eyes... Even when G grabbed some grass to feed them, they still looked unhappy....
(Yet do you know? Pure Emu oil has been shown to be helpful in moisturizing the skin, reducing the discomfort from sunburn and radiation burns, soften the appearence of aging associated with wrinkles and scaring and reducing pain and inflammation associated with Arthritis or injury...)
<I haven't used Pure Emu Oil myself, yet I've been using Emu oil cream and I quiet like it ^^>
Oh, back to the animals~~
We also saw several differnt kinds of birds....
(Gang-gang Cockatoo
(They only have 1 partnet in their life time!!!)
The "flying fox" (fruit bats) are colourful and they hang in the trees upside down!!!
Of course there were some koalas! To some degree, I have to say that they do look cute sometimes, especially when they are sleeping... There was one koala sleeping when we were taking photos, suddenly it just woke up and turned its face to us, with its eyes OPEN!!! Then after about one or two minutes, it went back to sleep again. That was it! NO more face, just bum~~~~
(haha~ can only take photos of the bum...)
當然也有看到袋鼠和沙袋鼠wallaby(體型較小)
(Echidna)
